Weekly Diary: February 7-13, 2025
Weekly Diary contains what I did and how I felt during the past week. Weekly Diary will be published on my blog every Friday. For special reasons, the weekly diary will be delayed by a day or two. Let’s read my new weekly diary of February 7-13, 2025. ! This diary took place in Naples, Florida which is my Florida residence.
Friday, February 7th - I stayed home all day. I posted my new blog posts on Facebook. I watched the Critics Choice Awards via my iPad. Unfortunately, my new favorite movie, Out of My Mind didn't win two categories - Best TV Movie and Best Actress in a Limited or TV Movie. But, the movie is still a success and memorable. I checked the web to see the movie's star, Phoebe-Rae Taylor who has cerebral palsy stuns in her sparkling black/silver palm tree fancy dressy suit via a photo. I am so happy that Wicked won 3 categories including the Best Director. Both Wicked and Out of My Mind are my new favorite movies.
Saturday, February 8th - I ate a spinach tomato quiche for breakfast. I saw the posts from the Critics Choice Awards on social media including Out of My Mind's star and the cast of Wicked. That made my heart joyful. I had a Sargento snack for lunch. I ate a banana as a snack when I felt a little hungry, just a few hours before dinner. I went to Taco and Tequila for dinner with my caregiver. I had a tropical margarita, chips and guacamole, 2 Philly cheesesteak tacos, 1 BBQ pulled pork taco, and a flan as a dessert. These foods were so delicious. That's one of my favorite restaurants in Naples. My caregiver and I had a lot of laughs with hilarious photo filters.
Sunday, February 9th - Super Bowl Day! I ate a quiche from yesterday and a small cup of fruit for brunch. I wore a outfit in honor of Philadelphia Eagles, a dark minty green short sleeve shirt, black workout leggings, and a Kendra Scott silver football necklace. My caregiver who works at Aurelio's Pizzeria brought the food for dinner. Aurelio's is a family pizzeria based in Illinois that serves authentic and homemade pizzas, appetizers, pastas, salads, and subs. They offer 2 pizza styles Thin Crust and Chicago style stuffed pizza. I had zucchini sticks, an individual dinner salad with creamy garlic dressing, and a stuffed pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and spinach. They were really great. I also ate 2 mini cupcakes for dessert. I watched the Super Bowl. I saw many hilarious Super Bowl commercials including a new promo of LIlo and Stitch live action movie which Stitch crashes into the football field. I expressed my excitement to see the upcoming movie. The Eagles won the Super Bowl over the Chiefs 40-22. I felt so impressed that the Eagles dominated the game with outstanding defensive performance. I thought it was the most enjoyable game ever. I saw a video of Taylor Swift being booed by the crowds while she is watching her football superstar boyfriend on Facebook - how hilarious!
Monday, February 10th - I ate a Cooper Street blueberry granola bar for breakfast. I applied for a remote job via Indeed. My caregiver, Danielle and I spent a few hours on the beach. She forgot tires for my beach wheelchair on the way to the beach- lol. She called my mom to meet us with the tires and it was successful. We ate ham sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls, green grapes, and veggie straws for lunch on the beach. Danielle's niece joined us for dinner and we had PF Chang's. We all caught up together during the evening. I had a great time with Danielle and her niece. There was a deer on the grass viewing from my house - I expressed my shock 😮
Tuesday, February 11th - I got up at 9:15am and got dressed. I ate a 3-course big breakfast (2 bacon and cheese omelet bites, a blueberry English muffin with blueberry cream cheese, and a small fruit), I skipped lunch. I went to Lake Trafford Airboat- Immokalee (an hour away from my residence). This was my first time riding the airboat. My caregiver, Danielle, her son, and her niece joined me for the airboat. There are swamps and alligators on the lake. The pink spoonbill birds are also spotted there. The airboat is fast and safe. It’s the most notable use for the Florida Everglades. I transferred from my wheelchair to the airboat seat- very easy to do it. I felt pretty comfortable sitting on the airboat seat. Riding the airboat made me so fearless, mindful, and relaxed! Seeing alligators made me a little bit scared but satisfied. It was such a beautiful and relaxing experience. Highly recommend it for any disabled individual who can transition from their wheelchair to the airboat seat plus nature lovers. When I got home from the airboat, I ate leftover Aurelio's salad and stuffed pizza for dinner.

Wednesday, February 12th - I ate a Nutrigrain bar for breakfast. My caregiver, Danielle, her niece, and I spent a few hours on the beach. At the beach, we parked on the 18th Avenue beach parking lot. We noticed that there is no ramp access to the beach but it's just a curb (curb is an inaccessible element of the road (raised edge)). Danielle popped out my beach wheelchair into the curb of the beach with a help of her niece and it worked safely. I ate a delicious turkey wrap, crunchy snacks, orange, and grapes for dinner. I enjoyed being on the gulf water while sitting in my beach wheelchair. Big waves blew over my seat. Lol. It was a beautiful sunny day but somehow it was windy. When I got home from the beach with Danielle, Danielle brought baked ziti and blackened shrimp for dinner and she prepared it. They were delicious. I really liked the dinner. I thanked her for preparing the meal- she is an angel! `
Thursday, February 13th - I ate an oatmeal for breakfast. I worked on my iPad all day because I keep looking for job and networking opportunities. I did a Valentine's Day ecard for my bestie- the ecard will be sent to her on Valentine's Day. I ate leftover PF Chang's Sesame Chicken for lunch. I had PT. I ate a tiny box of raisins and some apple slices with peanut butter as snacks. I gave Danielle a little Valentine's Day gift- a card, lottery tickets, and Snickers. She thanked me and said that was so thoughtful of me. I ate a spaghetti squash parmesan, garlic bread, and a spinach salad for dinner- it was a delicious meal.
The past week has been great for me. It was filled with relaxation, fun, nature, and wellbeing. I am grateful for what I did during the past week including going to the beach and riding the airboat for the first time. 😁🥰
