Weekly Diary: February 21-27, 2025

Weekly Diary contains what I did and how I felt during the past week. Weekly Diary will be published on my blog every Friday, For special reasons, the weekly diary will be delayed by a day or two. Let’s read my new weekly diary of February 21-27, 2025. This diary took place in Naples, Florida which is my Florida residence.

Friday, February 21 - I spent overnight at the hotel in Tampa before today. I woke up around 7am and did my morning routine in the hotel room. I went down to the breakfast buffet. I left Tampa around 8am and arrived home around 10:30am. I ate a veggie ravioli from Carrabba's for lunch. I created a post about my first visit to Tampa on my social media. I took a shower before dinner. I went to Tommy Bahama for dinner with my caregiver, Danielle. At the restaurant, I got a Miss Sunshine cocktail (Lemon infused liquor, salted honey, pineapple)- it was a fantastic cocktail. I tried new Lobster Spring Rolls- it was really delicious. I had a filet mignon salad. What a magnificent meal. The kind stranger ran into me and admired my style and personality. She spoke to me about potential opportunities. I gave her my business card.  Danielle played word game lottery but unfortunately, she lost it.

Saturday, February 22 - I ate a blueberry muffin I brought from the Tampa hotel's breakfast buffet for breakfast. I went to Paragon Theaters to see The Unbreakable Boy with Danielle and her mom. We were sitting in the recliner seats and eating some lunch at our seats. I got mozzarella sticks, popcorn, and Welch's fruit snacks. The Unbreakable Boy is a coming-of-age drama film that tells the story of a young teen boy with autism and brittle bone disease who shares a special bond with his parents and his brother especially his father who has a faith in his son. It is based on a true story. Not only it was a good and inspiring movie but it also made me cry emotionally. Danielle and I went to the grocery store and bought something for dinner within the next few days. When we got home from the grocery store, I ate a salad, kielbasa, and Velveeta Mac & Cheese for dinner. I watched Lucca's World on Netflix. Lucca's World is a Mexican drama film about a young boy named Lucca with Cerebral Palsy whose mother was determined to find a miraculous experimental treatment for her son so the treatment could help him improve his condition despite being diagnosed with severe cerebral palsy. It is based on a true story. I loved the movie. It brought tears of joy to my eyes. It also made my heart happy for Lucca. As a proud member of and a proud advocate for the cerebral palsy community, I will always be a role model for the community. And the community means a lot to me because I am dedicated to sharing my life journey and inspiring others to do everything I love even if they have similar challenges.

Sunday, February 23 - Danielle and I went to the farmers market in the morning. I bought a flamingo shell treasure. We went to Ej's Merdian Cafe for breakfast. I had a strawberry mimosa, a cinnamon roll, and a smoked salmon egg Benedict. It was a delicious big breakfast. At my house, Danielle's family spent a little over three hours in the pool and we ate burgers for late lunch. I enjoyed spending time with her family. I ate leftovers from Tommy Bahama for late dinner. I worked on drafting my blog posts. I received a text from my mom (she is in Vegas) that she won Royal Flush poker! ♠️  I sent her a congratulatory text message. I am so delighted to hear about her poker win!

Monday, February 24 - Rainy Day in Naples. I ate a leftover smoked salmon egg Benedict from Ej's for breakfast. I was working on my schedule, searching for a remote job, and blogging via my iPad all day. Danielle and I ate grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch. She prepared the meal. We got Cuban food from Rumba for dinner. (Rumba is a very good Cuban restaurant that only opens 11am-3pm Monday through Saturday.)  Danielle ran her errand. I went to bed at 10pm.

Tuesday, February 25 - I woke up at 6:45am and got dressed. I went to the waxing center around 8:30am so I had my face waxed. My caregiver, Danielle got her nose hairs waxed. She and I were eating breakfast at Blu Jelly - I had blueberry pancakes with bacon and orange juice. It was a good breakfast. Then we went back home for a few hours before my mani appointment. I ate leftover kielbasa and Mac and cheese for lunch.  When we headed out to the nail salon, we noticed that a bitchy stranger parked in the handicap parking spot without a handicap parking permit- that's unacceptable and irresponsible! How dare they do! 😑 I urge them to park in the handicap parking spot with a handicap permit. I got my manicure done. When we got home for dinner, Danielle prepared stuffed peppers dinner. I ate the meal- that's really good. My parents got home from Vegas. I welcomed them back and missed them so much. They missed me too. My mom and I gave Danielle a Lilly Pulitzer gift so she will wear new Lilly clothes for our upcoming Alaskan cruise vacation. I spoke my thank you message to her, thanking her for staying with me for the whole week while my parents were in Vegas. My mom gave me a Kendra Scott gift - a white crystal necklace in gold tone- I love it.

Wednesday, February 26 - I woke up to pee around 7am as my mom got me up. I told her to go back to bed and sleep. She said that's ok. I was waiting for my dad to get home and take me to the bathroom. (I woke up to pee early between 6:30am and 7am 3 days in a row. I feel somewhat miserable- I hate waking up to pee early!) I ate leftover blueberry pancakes for breakfast. I was staying home and working on my iPad all day. I ate leftover Cuban sandwich and plantains for lunch.  I went outside for an hour so I was relaxing in the sun. My parents and I were eating Stix sushi and Asian food for dinner. My mom picked up the food. I had delicious salmon sushi. I enjoyed spending time with my parents.

Thursday, February 27 - I stayed home and worked on my iPad all day. I ate oatmeal for breakfast and leftover spaghetti with meat sauce for lunch. I have constantly enjoyed working on my iPad each and every day, and continue doing it. I updated the itinerary for my caregiver from Cincinnati who is coming down here this Monday. I was preparing for Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month which starts this Saturday via my iPad. I ordered a new pair of perfect green pull-on ankle pants from Chico's with the gift card online. I expressed my excitement to wear these pants in honor of CP Awareness Month. πŸ’š I was researching Florida places. I found an online beach wheelchair rental webpage for Palm Beach. I can book it online someday so I can spend time with my bestie in the future. I read Metzcor's March newsletter (in fact, Metzcor is an amazing disability organization in Cincinnati. They offer a unique variety of adult day care program, recreational activities, community outings, and job opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. I have been a member of Metzcor for nearly 7 years. They are very fortunate and blessed to have me as a part of their community and support me and my career aspirations!) I saw on the newsletter that the coffee shop is officially opening in March! πŸ˜€πŸ₯Ή I can't wait to see the big things coming at Metzcor! I won't be back there until the end of May. Danielle prepared my favorite dinner, Cranberry and Brie Stuffed Chicken with twice baked potatoes and asparagus- delicious πŸ˜‹

The past week has been great for me. It was filled with excitement, relaxation, fun, joy, laughter, emotion, and wellbeing. I am grateful for what I did during the past week. 😁πŸ₯°
