Monthly Diary - October 2025
My monthly diary, a compilation of my meaningful experiences from the past month, will be published on my blog on the first day of each month. Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, the monthly diary may be delayed by a day or two. Let’s delve into my new monthly diary of October 2025, which was set in my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Life of a Showgirl
Friday, October 3 - Taylor Swift released her new album the Life of a Showgirl. I listened to the album on Spotify. I love her new music. It sounded like a Showgirl and burleque dancer. It made my heart entertaining and delighted. Wish List and The Life of a Showgirl are my new favorite songs. Wish List is a new song about what you want to do or dream of something. The Life of a Showgirl is a new titular song that sounds like showgirls entertain and shine brighter.
I went to see the Life of a Showgirl official release party film. The film made me love and appreciate the new album.

My Mama's Birthday Celebration
Wednesday, October 8 - This day marked my mama's 69th birthday. My mama is such an amazing, strong, caring, and supportive woman I always have loved. She did a remarkable job on raising and taking care of ne. She taught me to do something and self-care like her despite my physical limitations due to my cerebral palsy. I always have appreciated her help, trust, kindness, strength, and support. She is the Best Mom ever! She's also one of the most important people in my life. We have shared our unconditional love!
I celebrated her birthday at the country club for Pasta Night with my parents and my two caregiving friends. At the club, we created our own pasta dishes- yummy π. The waiting staff gave my mom a special dessert with candles. We sung Happy Birthday to her. She loved it.
My dad and I gave my mama a birthday present. She received a new MK cowboy large shoulder bag and she loved it so much. She had a wonderful birthday.
Saturday, October 11 - I went to Jeff Ruby's for my mom's birthday dinner with my parents and my caregiver. We enjoyed socializing and feeling fancy together. I had a glass of Chardonnay, shrimp cocktail, and a filet scampi (filet served with garlic shrimp and gnocchi) with creamed spinach. The waiters gave all of us a dessert my mom wanted - Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cake (peanut butter ice cream, chocolate ganache, chantilly cream, and crushed peanuts). It was a very good dessert. I liked how sweet it was. This was a fantastic and lovely dinner celebration.
Thursday Night Football - Bengals vs Steelers: The Legandary Game of Flacco vs Rodgers
Thursday, October 16 - I watched Thursday Night Football: Bengals vs Steelers game with my mom. Before game, veteran quarterback Joe Flacco was recently traded to the Bengals from the Browns. He played the Ravens for over a decade. He won the Super Bowl with the Ravens. Aaron Rodgers, veteran quarterback who used to be a Packer and he is the Super Bowl champion. Flacco plays the Bengals. Rodgers plays the Steelers. They are both 40+ years old but their aging doesn't stop them from playing football!
During the game, The Bengals responded by scoring 17 straight points to take a 17-10 lead into the first half. With 7 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Bengals kicker Evan McPherson drilled a 36-yard field goal to put Cincinnati ahead for good, securing a win. The Steelers failed their Hail-Mary attempt as the game ended. The Bengals defeated the Steelers 33-31! Joe Flacco performed well. Ja'Marr Chase posted a monstrous performance with setting a franchise record. What a thrilling victory game!
Shortly after my mama said to me, "Rodgers is addicted to mushrooms to get high". Lol π
Warm Pumpkin Day
Saturday, October 18 - I went to a local pumpkin festival, Weber's Pumpkin Festival in Harrison (approximately 20 minutes west of my house). The weather was beautiful and warm- it was 83 degrees high. I felt like it was warming up in the fall. Weber's Pumpkin Festival is an annual event held two days in the third weekend of October. The festival features various craft and food vendors, sunflower field, music, farm, and pumpkin patch. Weber's also sells pumpkin donuts and pumpkin butter. It's a great family-friendly fall festival. That's one of my fall favorites.

Halloween Time
Halloween is the most enjoyable holiday that occurs in October. It is all about jack-o-lantern, witch, ghost, skeleton, and even more scary creatures! Halloween traditions include watching scary/horror movies, scaring people, wearing character costumes, decorating/craving pumpkins, and trick or treating. I'm not a fan of Halloween but I enjoy it so much. My favorite Halloween movie is Hocus Pocus because I feel like 3 witch sisters do something wicked to cast spells - they are the most famous witches!
Saturday, October 25 - I watched Psycho (1960) on Peacock with my caregiver. The movie follows a woman who steals money and checks into the remote Bates Motel, run by the quiet and mysterious Norman Bates. What begins as a suspenseful escape turns into a chilling nightmare when shocking secrets about the motel—and its owner—are revealed. Psycho redefined the horror genre remains one of the greatest horror movies of all time. Somehow the movie scared me but I really enjoyed watching the movie. My caregiver enjoyed it too. She recommended me to watch Bates Motel TV show starring Freddie Highmore. I love the actor. I have seen him in The Good Doctor which was his television show after Bates Motel as well as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He is a very accomplished actor. The following day, I started watching Bates Motel - it tells Norman Bates's origin story. The show serves as a modern prequel to Psycho. It explores the troubled relationship between Norman and his mother as they run a small town motel after moving to a new community. Watching the TV show makes me feel satisfied with the horror and psychological aspects of the entertainment.
Friday, October 31 - It's Halloween Day! I dressed up as a Fashionista Barbie! π I attended my work's Halloween party - Metzcor Halloween Party. During the party, I had fun with my peers and staff who wear their costumes. We played Mummy game - I was honored to be a Mummy. My peers wrapped me with a toilet paper. Lol π We gathered and danced together.
Afterwards, I spent the night at my house with my parents. My mom and I passed out candy on our driveway as we saw people dressing up as characters. My caregiver, Nya and her son who dressed up as Bluey came to our neighborhood as they were doing trick or treat. Nya's son was dancing and posing playfully around our neighborhood. π His costume was so cute. We reunited with our neighbors who have known us for a long time. Right after trick or treat, my mom and I watched "House on the Haunted Hill" which was released in 1959. The movie tells the story of an eccentric millionaire who invites five strangers to spend the night in a supposedly haunted mansion, offering them a cash prize if they survive until morning. As the night unfolds, eerie events, hidden secrets, and deadly traps blur the line between the supernatural and human deceit. The movie scared me especially the ghosts. But, I enjoyed watching it. Halloween was scarily fun and playful! ππ§‘π§♀️π»
