My Remote Job Was Achieved
Friday, September 5 - I found out that there is something big coming at Metzcor. I am so excited to announce that I accepted the job offer from Metzcor. I will be working as a blog intern for Metzcor's CorMission which is a nonprofit organization that dedicated to providing community inclusion and job opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. They have a T-shirt printing company, a coffee shop, special events, and recreational programs. It's a flexible remote position. I finally achieved my goal of getting a remote job!! I have been fighting hard for about three years to get a remote job. As I found out that I got a job, I was crying tears of joy π₯Ή. My prayers are answered.... I have waited so long for this moment. Metzcor made my dream come true. I have a job and business now. This is the first job I got hired for! I am so grateful and excited for this opportunity to write monthly blog posts for CorMission. I couldn't be more proud of myself for achieving my goals and dreams like this. I can't wait to watch my progress in work and business.
I love blogging! Earlier this year, I started writing my own blog that focuses on my life with cerebral palsy and my journey to success. I never thought of blogging before. My dad suggested that I should write a blog. I am excellent at blogging. The experience gave me a confidence in my ability to tell stories and show visual narratives. Blogging is my new passion.
My 29th Birthday Weekend
Friday, September 12 - This day marked my 29th birthday. I feel young and beautiful at 29. I can't believe this is my last year of my 20s... I am Healthy and Strong! π✨πͺ
At Metzcor, my fellow staff members and peers wished me a happy birthday. I watched hilarious happy birthday videos that include my name. I gave cupcakes with pink icing to these people. Everyone loved it!
I went to Primavista for dinner with my friends Karen and Maria. At the restaurant, I was so surprised to see my mom sitting in the table when we arrived to get the table. I had no idea my mom showed up there. I was just supposed to go to a nice restaurant with my friends for dinner on my birthday without my parents. But my mom came there to surprise me. She knew my plans to go out with my friends for dinner on my birthday. I originally invited my bestie Laura to come join us but unfortunately she didn't come because of her baby. She would have been the fourth person. But, I felt so happy that my mom showed up and joined me and my friends as the fourth person. All that matters is how I feel kind to spend time with them together. I had a ravioli and pesto appetizer, arugula salad with strawberries, and pesto gnocchi with chicken plus a glass of Chardonnay wine- what a delicious meal!
Afterwards, we got home for dessert as I felt so surprised to see my birthday strawberry Bundt cake (Nothing Bundt Cakes) is set up on a kitchen table with a pale pink paper tablecloth with rose gold dots and rose gold birthday plates and utensils - I loved how the dessert table was decorated. My mom is the BEST birthday decorator lol π π We all enjoyed the Bundt cake. I opened some gifts from my friends and my loved ones. These gifts were thoughtful and I loved them. π I had a special birthday! π π

Saturday, September 13 - I went to Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse (one of the best fine steakhouses in the nation) for my birthday dinner with my parents and my friend Karen. At the restaurant, we were all having a fancy dinner. I had a glass of sparkling rosΓ¨ wine, a crab cake appetizer, a Caesar salad, and a filet mignon with mushrooms & onions, and Mac and cheese. Plus, I have a special dessert tradition that has been presented since 2023 - It's Ruby's Purse Cake, which consists of a strawberry mousse and French vanilla cake served with a strawberry syrup and a milk chocolate ganache syrup. All these cakes are pink. It's my annual birthday dessert tradition @ Jeff Ruby's. Each of annual purse cakes has a different style. It was the third annual purse cake I got- Louis Vuitton. The first one was Gucci and the second one was Chanel. I wonder what the fourth one would be next year ..... Michael Kors, lol π but it's not happening yet so I will find out next year. The waiter also gave me a complementary chocolate cupcake. What a magnificent meal!
Afterwards, I went to Hard Rock Casino with Karen and my mom and we spent two hours gambling. π° I played Buffalo Gold slots. I got many wins. I survived losses and ended up collecting two hundred dollars π΅ What an amazing slot machine I played! My mom won a massive prize on the same slot machine- oh wow, I am sure she felt so lucky to win the prize! We had a great time and so much fun! π€© π

Sunday, September 14 - I went to the sports bar to watch the Bengals game with my friend, Jailyn. We were upset to see Burrow get a toe injury. He exited the game in the second quarter. π’ we were so anxious to watch the Bengals getting a chance to win the game. And the Bengals were able to win the game against the Jaguars without Burrow - 31-27! Backup quarterback Jake Browning managed to get a game-winning touchdown - He shined bright! I reacted to their win. "Oh my gosh, what an unbelievable, thrilling victory!" π€© Poor Burrow, π he will miss 3 months But, I am optimistic that Browning, Chase, and Higgins along with the Bengals have a good chance of heading to the playoffs this season! π ❤️
The Drama of the Reds & the Bengals
Sunday, September 21 - I attended the Reds game with my caregiver Nya and my friend Maria. We left the house early to avoid crowding. We got a table at the Reds game before tables are going to be packed. it was already jammed. Nya doesn’t have a Reds shirt. She borrowed one of my Reds shirts - white street fashionista Tshirt. I told her that she looks wonderful and fabulous! At the game, we all ate great food including chicken stir fry, pretzels, and ice cream. We were also watching the Bengals game - the Bengals suffered a terrible loss with 5 turnovers 48-10, it was a boring and terrible game. It was a total embarrassment in the game. The Reds game didn't start until 2:45pm due to rain delay. Maria and I sat outside together for the whole game. We stood up together in the middle of 7th inning and the bottom of ninth inning as the Reds won 1-0! The Reds lead Wild Card spot in the playoffs! What an incredible series sweep!
"It was a terrible day for the Bengals! It was an incredible day for the Reds!!" - I concluded the day by expressing my embarrassment and disappointment for the Bengals and my excitement and optimism for the Reds.
Sunday, September 28 - I went to a burger bistro and sports grill to watch the final regular season game of the Reds vs the Brewers and the Mets vs the Marlins. The Reds and the Mets faced off in the final NL wild card spot. The Reds would clinch the final NL wild card spot if they complete the sweep or the Mets lose. As a result, the Reds lost 4-2 shortly before the Mets vs the Marlins' dramatic game ending.... The Mets lost 4-0, allowing the Reds to make it to the playoffs!! The Reds clinched the final NL wild card spot!
The Bengals lost again @ Monday Night Football on Monday, September 29th! π
Inclusive Theatre Play
I attended "Snow White & Her Prince" musical play at Metzcor in the last weekend of September. The play tells the story of a young kind and gentle princess named Snow White who escapes from her cruel stepmother, The Evil Queen and encounters seven dwarfs and a prince. The play features a cast with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They did an amazing job on performing. They were incredibly talented. The storytelling and music were beautiful.
The past month has been good for me. It was filled with excitement, relaxation, fun, joy, laughter, positivity, and wellbeing. I am grateful for what I did during the past month. ππ₯°
